Laser Wrinkles:

One of the many options in the market out there these days to treat wrinkles is the laser wrinkles treatment, this kind of laser treatment is also used to erase scars and pimple marks, it is also called laser resurfacing treatment or laser peeling.

It has been used since the eighties and it is a way to rejuvenate skin without having to into surgery, with the lasers available now its possible to reduce and even remove wrinkles and scars, and other skin problems with minimal discomfort for the patient.

In the early eigthies the most common laser wrinkles treatment was continous wave carbon dioxide, it was used to remove the top most damaged skin layer, and promoting the appearance of a new skin, the results were very good but secondary effects were many, including redness, decoloration and eruptions.

Because od this secondary effects new laser wrinkles treatments were developed, including co2 laser systems, that also remove layers of damaged skin but in amore subtle way, Erbium:YAG laser was also developed and it is as good as the co2 laser treatment. 

These two treatments are normally called “ablative” laser treatments, because they remove the top most layer of the skin.

In the last 10 years laser treatments have seen a technological revolution being this “ablative” laser treatments the most common.

Even though these treatments are not cheap, they have seen a dramatical reduction in price and a lot of people now have access to them.

If you want to try one of these laser wrinkle treatments you should take into account, that even though they are farily common now, they still should be treated by a dermatologist or certified technician, because the possibility of serious burns, scarring or other side effects still exist.
